Name: Talberon Firebrand
Race: Phoenix
-(Humanoid, unless they use magic to create an extreme transformation or reach over 100 years old)
Weapons: natural abilities (fire control/blast, low level flying, healing, etc.), dual wield light blades forged of Phosilite (a metal that can reach extremely high temperatures, but still keep the hardness of about steel)
Age: 1. Current incarnation: about 9 months (appears to be in his late teens if human)
2. Actual lineage age: centuries
Gender: Male
Kingdom: Unknown Territory (Phoenix Cliffs) [obviously not marked for all to see, but if you are a Phoenix or Phoenix friend, then you know where]
Appearance: Phoenix form- looks like a Phoenix (If you don't know look at the pictures)
Normal form: Bright green eyes, light brownish, reddish hair that is slightly wavy and slightly spiky, paler than the average person but can't be taken for a different race or an albino. His core temperature is around 212 degrees F, but it feels to a person like it is only 103- at most 125. A little taller than average, around 6'1” and weighs near 145. He is athletic and healthy, but will not strike you as a warrior, more like a noble prince than a warrior or commoner. He has good posture and confidence , which keeps in line with his agility. However, his eyes still hold both awestruck wonder at seeing the world with new eyes and the sage wisdom of having seen it all before. In times of stress, anger, extreme excitement, or other strong emotions, his hair will begin to light but not burn up, his eyes start to glow and pulse bright green, his nose becomes more angular, his skin feels closer to boiling, and his skin turns from pale to a light sunburn coloring.
Personality: Talberon is less than a year into his regeneration. Most of the experiences he will have will be remarkably similar to those in his past, but he will commonly react to the slightest things as if he never knew they existed. He is fiercely loyal and will defend his close allies, but is slightly naive, in the way that he can be confused on political and social customs and easily be fooled in some trickery or pranks. Don't believe though that he is completely gullible, though he might not understand social practices, he is a keen tactician and fighter (having the knowledge and training of centuries), he is no stranger to magic, and posses quite a bit of knowledge to solve a riddle or puzzle. The main issue he has is that he possesses all of these abilities and talents, but he is unsure how to use them today. Call him stuck in the past, but old fashioned might be what you need.
His phoenix form is another matter. If he is gentle and with allies, he is likely a grandfatherly sage and will help solve whatever mess you're in. However, if he feels threatened, there is more of a chance of the forest being burned than the cave's door opening.
History: Phoenixes have lived for centuries, nestled away in a remote mountain in the Unknown Region. Those lucky to see one are branded by the phoenix with a painless, invisible symbol on the palm showing their alliance and partnership. They valued studying and gaining knowledge highly, but as younglings they are trained in strategy, magic, combat, crafting, diplomacy, and the arts. The High Phoenix Council passes down the traditions and knowledge to each generation. Like in myth, they rise from the ashes of their dead. Making it seem like you cannot kill them off.
Talberon, though is one of the last phoenixes. Why is that? No one knows for sure, not even Talberon. Stories say that a special council was formed by a king in a faraway land to eradicate any threats to his power. Supposedly, if one is a skilled magician, he can kill one by making it believe that it is too cold until it spontaneously combusts. After which, the magic user gathers the ashes and scatters them in the air. Many were able to escape, but to the unusual circumstances of the brutality, no one, not even Talberon knows where they are hiding. He was the Chief of the High Phoenix Council, however without any of his kind to help him their culture may be completely forgotten. He awoke a couple of weeks later to his next in ashes and his people gone. Finding clues to the direction of the raiders, Talberon set out to seek out revenge on the murderers and recover the memories and traditions locked away in his brain, and perhaps find a rebuild their once proud but hidden nation.
