Name: Calumnia Somniatoris
Race: Mage
Weapons: A long, thin bronze sword strapped to his belt, with light healing runes on the side. He also owns a ebony staff for magic. He has two swords hidden but around his arms, made out of silver and steel, with curling designs of fire crawling up the side. Calumnia also has his magic, which can create illusions that can trick the very senses and sometimes mind.
Age: 17(Birthday-December 1)
Gender: Male
Kingdom: The Western Territory
Description: Calummia is at a somewhat tall height for his age, only five foot eleven inches. He has a lean, slim body, with a slightly muscular build. He has eyes that shift from a glittering emerald to a warm, captivating amber, and he has olive-toned skin. His hair is a dark ebony, slightly long, and he has softer features, making him appear a little feminine. His eyes are framed by thick lashes, and also has a lyrical, silky voice, and weighs about one hundred twenty pounds. He usually wears a dark cloak with a bag which he keeps his texts and supplies. He wears a loose, semi-formfitting tunic on his travels.
Personality of character: Calumnia is highly intelligent, his social skills making him store information and facts he might not have otherwise. He is a calm, serene person, and has a habit of gently teasing people, smiling at their blushes. He might come off as a unapproachable person because of his distance despite his smiles and comments, but does so on purpose, as he is wary of newcomers.
He enjoys reading texts and books, often seen with many in his arms after a long journey. Though he's usually a gentle, kind person, he holds no remorse when it comes to battle, and has beaten many in duels. He can also heal somewhat, though it's not his area of expertise.
Though the mage is quite gentle and caring, when hurt deeply, Calumnia tends to refuse to accept apologies, turning from a warm person to a cold, silent being, withdrawing more and more into himself until someone coaxes him out of his shell. This stems from his fatal flaw-the fear that someone he cares about leaves and he's too broken to continue on.
The mage also enjoys cooking or cleaning, as well as painting, horseback riding, and fencing. He dislikes food that's not cooked properly, people who are too cocky, and people who degrade and insult others for no apparent reason.
Though he has a very demure, kind outwards personality, inside he is a very calculating person. When he first meets someone, he immediately sizes up their worth, then deciding if it would be beneficial to forge a friendship or not. If not, then he'll still be close acquaintances with them, but not as close as he would be. It's a part of him he sometimes despises, but it's a part of him.
Another less polished part of the mage is that he had a crueler, more demonic part of him that he itches to unleash on his enemies. A side of him lusts and desires to torture those who deserve it, to make them pay penance for their crimes. Calumnia wishes for his enemies to suffer wholly-both mentally and physically, to paint the skies with their blood. However, one of their greatest fears is to let that part of him be unleashed on innocents, so he locks it up deep inside.
He likes quotes, often musing about their meaning, along with names, knowing his means something and wondering what others may imply.(Calumnia/Illusion, Sommiatoris/Dreamer)He likes to look at others and see what they might have as a personality, as their history and names.
Calumnia's strengths, however, also have weaknesses. He is terrible at hand-to-hand combat, and is stubborn. He can also hold a grudge for a ungodly amount of time, and is a frosty person at best when angered. The mage is passionate about subjects that he cares deeply about, but is mostly serious and calm.
History: Calumnia's family was noble, with a famous reputation for their strong magic. When Elutheria, Calumnia's mother, was announced to have a male heir, it was often spectulated what type of magic he had, as his mother could control emotions and his father was a mage who toyed with shadows to create tangible items.
When he was born, his mother passed away from an unknown illness, and he was left alone with his father. As he grew up, he attained a very close relationship with his father, learning how to be a proper heir and how to basically walk, talk, and even smile.
Calumnia focused more on his studies, trying to be a top student and control his powers. He learned how to do archery and fencing young, though he never took delight in shooting arrows like his father did. His powers depveloped rapidly, but instead of illusions that would trick the senses(ex. making a man believe that he was drinking water instead of molten steel)he became more adept at illusions that would trick the heart and mind,(Ex. making a woman believe that her dead lover was alive, that someone was angry at you)though he could still, with effort, accomplish that too.
WIth time, however, their family was attacked by a group of thieves, and Calumnia's father was murdered, leaving him enough time to run away, into the nearby forest, where he met a nearby woodsmith who took him in, and he finished his education there. However, as soon as he was able to leave because he was of age, he left, not wanting to be a burden on him and his wife.
For the next few years, Calumnia wandered around the mountain and river regions, finding work as a mage to defeat various monsters, always keeping and eye out for the group of thieves that had killed his family. He didn't find them yet, but swore to avenge his parents when he could.
He grew famed for his various kills and his dark past, invited to many social gatherings in the rare occasion that he stopped by a nearby town. However, it's rumored that he's fighting against the evil king Xamona, though it has never been confirmed nor denied.
