I crouched behind a boulder that was a few hundred yards away from the entrence to the stronghold. It had several sentries patrolling the upper wall and at least four manning the gate. There had to be another way in... "See anything?" I asked Iadon.

I looked around for the hidden tunnel we made. "We have a guy on the inside who made a tunnel for us to go under so that we could get in." I had almost forgot about it. "It should be located on the right side of the walls behind a tree." I began to move towards where I had just described when I heard someone approaching from behind us.

Taleborn tried to muffle his footsteps, but he stepped onto a dried twig with a noticeable snap. Realizing that he was going to be made, he began to levitate in his place and silently move away.
*I've got to get out of here before someone actually spots me,* he thought.

I spun around at the noise and noticed a figure moving away. "Stop!" I yelled in a hushed voice. "You'll give away our position." I swiftly crouched/ran towards the figure. "Who are you?" I asked. Knowing his allegiance was important.

"I fight for none, but my own longevity and that of the memory of my race. An order of mages slew my citizens, and I am of the intent to enact my revenge. Are you with me or against?"
Taleborn's hands began to pulse with light flames and his eyes flashed quickly a bright green. Thankfully, he kept the rest of the signs of his passion hidden to avoid becoming a dummy for target practice.

Mages? "Are they in there?" I asked, pointing my thumb behind me at the stronghold. "If so, sure we were going in anyway. If not, not right now." What is this guy? Some sort of mage himself? I've never trusted mages, usualy more deceiving than I can be sometimes. I look at Iadon, giving him a look that said 'What do we do?'

I didnt know if we could trust him but we kind of had to or we risked getting found. "Okay you can come with us but you must be quiet." I looked at the tree the tunnel was behind. "We have to get over there without being seen." I looked at the new guy waiting for his comment on the situation.

"I don't know if they're here now, but they were here. I've been tracking them from the Unknkwn Territory; I had a month's delay, but I know they've traveled here once."
He looked around and searched for a way into the fortress. Seeing the only way that was semisafe was the tunnel, he decided to help these two.
"I can help light the way for you, and I can hold my own in a fight."

"Sounds good to me," I said. "Don't use any light until we are inside." I thought for a moment on what would the best plan. I didn't know the specifics of place, but I could surely find my way around. "When we get inside, I think splitting up would be best. Cover more ground. I can probably find the stronghold's captain and take him out. I'd have a better chance alone." I'm not the leader here, so I turned to Iadon and asked, "Sound good? We can meet up at the opening to the tunnel when were finished?"
