"I was just having an evening stroll, and I saw this sign that said entertainment and food. Come one, come all... I guess you couldn't care less about that, don't you?"
The guards thrusted their bows toward Talberon. "Only those in service to our lord may be here. You have 5 minutes to speak or I'd 'bolt.'"
"Well, I hate to do this, but..." Fire sparked on his hands and climbed his body, and like a conducting rod, he spun around and shot fire through out the courtyard. Creating a new phenomena that would surely draw attention to himself and not his 'allies.' *Great nothing says: I'm a target like fire lighting the entire building at night.*
Stepping over the charred remains of the two guards, Talberon continued north towards the actual manor.

As he walked up the stairs into the manor, Talberon searched the courtyard that was left burning. It was an eerie sense of comfort watching the fires burn and kindle. He missed the ritual of The Cleansing Fire. He felt strange sense of joy emerge. Sighing, Talberon walked into through the doors of the hall.
The hallway was embellished with exquisite tapestries and vases. Talberon searched each room, but he did not find the evidence of the mages that he was looking for or any evidence on why the other two were at the tunnel. *The mages would probably be at the guest quarters further in the palace.
After walking through corridors and rooms, he came into a massively stocked library. Talberon stood in the center in awe of the amassed knowledge in one place. While just basking in the glory, he heard a soft whimper coming from the northeastern corner. It was the sound of a nicely dressed lady in her early twenties.
As he approached the woman, she began to scream and call for help at the sight of the flaming man. Out of thin air it seemed, ten roguish bodyguards formed a barrier between the noble and Talberon with various melee weapons unsheathed.

Talberon unsheathed his twin blades and ignited his flamy powers. His weapons pulsed with living flame as he swung them within inches of the men.
"Just part ways and no one will get hurt."
One of the men, the leader, stepped forward and swung his halbred at his head. Talberon barely ducked out of the way and quickly retaliated, slashing through four of them with agile thrusts and cuts. Another two were quickly dispatched with a club to the back of their heads with the hilts.
The three remaining encircled Talberon, and one whipped his swords out of his hands. The leader said, "Surrender, mongrel! Don't approach the lady of this manor or you'll die!"
"How little you know! You can't kill me. Simpleton!"
He spontaneously combusted. Not killing them, but giving the guards serious burns.
The woman began to weep again. "Don't approach me. You're a monster!"

"I'm not a monster, well I don't think I am. I'm just trying to find some mages that killed my family. Could you tell me where they are? Please?"
She squirmed away, "Last I heard they already left for the North to meet with Lord Xamona. Now, get out you murderer!"
Shocked at how disgusted the lady was, despite the blood and burns. Talberon quickly left the library in silent surprise. After leaving the room, he left through the large doors of the fortress unminded. Considering there was no reason to be in the stronghold, Talberon unleashed a blast of flame that touched as much wood and cloth within its path. The flames quickly spread throughout the building.
