Name: Pippa Brandywood
Race: Hobbit
Weapons: A small, hand held farming scythe and a belt of throwing knives.
Age: She is a young Hobbit at the age of 30. (Hobbits have a longer life span than men, 70 being their middle age.)
Gender: Female
Kingdom: Eastern Territory in Swindlton
Description:
Pippa stands at a height of 3'5, one inch under the average height for a Hobbit. She has curly, messy brown hair topped with a floppy light brown hat. Her eyes are a dark hazel brown. She wears a green cloak with a hood. Underneath that she wears a puffy white shirt with a brown vest. She wears arm warmers the same colour as her hat that always cover her hands, and baggy pants, which her belt of throwing knives sits on top of comfortably, of course, she does not wear shoes because her feet are large and leathery on the bottom. Her ears are pointy, like an elf's, only less large. She definitely doesn't look wealthy, because she is not. Her clothes are ratty and not well taken care of, but she doesn't care for clean and neat looking clothing in the slightest, nor does she think that womens clothing is comfortable, thus the reason why she wears clothing made for men.
Personality: Pippa is not like many Hobbits, who mostly prefer quiet lives in comfortable living conditions. Pippa longs for adventure and action. She wishes to see everything her eyes will possibly let her. She is not the most responsible person, and will often act first, think later. She is very stubborn in her opinions, and will go out of her way to prove you wrong. She hates being underestimated for her weaknesses, which are her height and her lack of special powers and abilities. Pippa makes up for those with her bravery and courage. Although Pippa doesn't act like your average Hobbit, she definitely eats like one. She's always hungry and can eat two times her weight in food if you let her. She also enjoys ale, singing, dancing and smiling with friends. Pippa is a kind spirit despite her impulsive stubbornness. She is always one to lend a helping hand to those in trouble, and she will always protect the underdog, even if she is one herself. She would much rather make friends than enemies. Pippa is also the occasional joker. If she feels like playing a prank on you, watch out, because although she doesn't do it all the time, she's good at it.
History: Pippa was born to two humble farmers by the names of Elenor and Cotman Brandywood. Pippa grew up in Swindlton with her family. She had four older brothers, whom she looked up to and always tried to be like. As a young Hobbit, Pippa always spoke of adventure, constantly had her nose in books about dragons and warriors, and always spoke of travelling the kingdoms. This made most Hobbits uneasy. They didn't want anything to do with adventure, they would rather be sitting on their porches enjoying second breakfast with a warm cup of tea. Many other Hobbits her age didn't like to play with Pippa either, thinking she was weird when she insisted on being a dragon, or a hunter. Other children wanted to play with toys and kites.
In her teens, Pippa started getting into weapons. She would practice in her stable on sacks of chicken feed, and wooden posts with her favourite scythe. Her father was always very supportive of her. One day, he came home with a belt of throwing knives and gave them to her in secret, so that her mother wouldn't lecture the two of them. He told her he had won them at the hub off of a drunken hunter. Pippa practiced and practiced with her weapons, dreaming of the day she could leave the farm and become an adventurer.
The day came when Pippa had heard about Xamona's plans to attack Emodia. She had recently turned 30, and decided that she wanted to fight against the Dragon King to free her home from impending slavery. She told her parents her wish. Her mother argued and argued, her father was hesitant to oblige. Finally they all agreed, and with tears in their eyes Elenor and Cotman watched Pippa leave their home on the back of her chestnut pony Gylfie. Pippa promised to return one day with great stories and breathtaking trinkets to share with her family before she left to fulfill her dream.
With a backpack filled with essentials, food, spending money she had saved for this moment since a young girl, her Scythe and throwing knives, Pippa trotted with Gylfie, out into the unknown world in wonder and excitement.
